A lot of people like to describe America as a “Christian nation.” But is Christianity something a nation claims, or something its people embody? ⏯️”Is America a Christian Nation?” by @esaumccaulley (watch on YouTube)

Being nonpartisan doesn’t mean being neutral. We live in a culture that pressures us to pick a side, but we can pledge our allegiance to something higher than a political party. When our loyalty belongs to what is true, just, and protective of the vulnerable, we find greater freedom to apply our values consistently. Sharon McMahon talks with @kaitlynschiess about staying informed without getting cynical, political exhaustion & more on🎙️Holy Post 721 - listen wherever you get your podcasts & don’t miss the bonus interview on Holy Post Plus!

Good news! Trump has backed down from his demand that $10B in US taxpayer funds be moved from the Treasury into his own pocket. Bad news: He instead wants $1.7B in taxpayer funds set aside for his family and friends. It’s like when God raised up Cyrus to “fleece the Jews.”

If we have to reassure everyone that it's definitely NOT a golden calf, do we really need to be putting it up in the first place? 🎙️Holy Post 718 drops tomorrow. Come for Christian takes on current events, stay for the laughs & rabbit (bunny?) trails.

Many Christians still support the current administration because it has claimed to be “pro-life.” But the truth is, it's not. Abortion rates are rising, and a truly pro-life vision requires us to care about what families actually need to flourish: access to healthcare, affordable housing, economic stability, and basic human dignity. On all of these fronts, the current administration continues to fail - and Christians who care about life should be willing to say so. @bristenz, director of Women of Welcome, joins us to talk immigration, "whole-life pro-life," and more on 🎙️Holy Post 716 - available everywhere. The best way to convince people you aren’t praying before a golden idol would be to not pray before a golden idol.
Today at Trump National Doral Miami, we witnessed an unforgettable moment with the dedication of the 22-foot statue honoring President Donald J. Trump. Let me be clear: this is not a golden calf. We worship the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone. This statue is a celebration of life. It is a symbol of resilience, freedom, patriotism, strength, and the will power to keep fighting for the future of America. It also stands as a reminder of the hand of God and His protection over President Trump’s life. Time and time again, when his life was threatened, God’s mercy prevailed. Today was not just a ribbon cutting. It was the public display of a powerful movement that has spread across America and around the world. I was deeply honored to serve as President Trump’s main point of contact throughout this process, and I do not take that assignment lightly. I want to personally thank Ash, Dustin Stockton, Brock Pierce, Hershey Friedman, Yaakov Filitchkin, Sam, Jack, and the 6,000 Patriots who donated, believed, sacrificed, and made this historic moment possible. Thank you to the entire Trump Doral team for your incredible hospitality and excellence. And thank you, President Donald J. Trump, for calling me today and speaking to the crowd. We are forever grateful. God bless President Trump. God bless every Patriot. And God bless the United States of America. 🇺🇸 #PresidentTrump #SpiritualDiplomats #TrumpDoral #TrumpStatueDedication #AmericaFirst #PatriotMovement #FaithFreedomPatriotism

We don't have to pick one bundle of ethics to care about. The Bible asks us to engage with ALL of creation ethically, and that will not map neatly onto the Left/Right binary. And that's OK - who said following Jesus was supposed to be easy? "We should not adhere to a form of ethics that says sexual ethics, gender ethics, or reproductive ethics matter more than economic ethics or racial ethics or any other kind of ethics. They ALL matter to God because he is redeeming ALL things." @skyejethani on 🎙️The SkyePod: Crotch Christianity - listen wherever you get your pods & share with a friend!

Starting to get a little 1936 in here. (Notice the art.)
“Jewish Supremacy, or Jewish Specialism, is the ideological conviction that Jewish people occupy a categorically unique position in the human family that entitles them to rights, protections, exemptions, and deferences not extended to other ethnic or religious groups. It is the belief, variously sourced in religious tradition, ethnic identity, and post-Holocaust political architecture, that to be Jewish is to operate under a different moral and legal ruleset than the rest of humanity. The single greatest obstacle to Jewish reception of Jesus as Messiah, in the first century and in every century since, has not been Roman persecution, Christian failure, or deficient apologetics. It has been Jewish Specialism: the deep, structurally embedded conviction that to be Israel is to occupy a position so categorically elevated that the terms applying to the rest of humanity simply do not apply. The apostolic message to Jewish audiences was not “you are uniquely special and history owes you deference.” It was the opposite. It was: you are sinners like everyone else, the Messiah came, and you missed him, and the only path forward is the same faith available to every Gentile on earth. That’s not hatred. That’s the gospel.” *Read the full article by using the link to our website in my bio.

Fun facts: My wife (Lisa) and I wrote the "What Have We Learned?" song while driving to church. That's her singing the song, and the "percussion" is me playing my cheeks. (Face cheeks, weirdos.)
When this song came on is when we all realized the depth of what bunch of veggies just taught us. #VeggieTales #LifeLessons #LarryBoy #ChildhoodMemories

Thankful no one was killed in DC last night. According to reporting, the shooter thanked his church community in his manifesto explaining his actions. Something's seriously wrong when a frequent church attender can justify assassination as a tool for justice.

(And for those saying this is only a problem on the "left" because "no one tried to assassinate Obama"... there were six plots or attempts to assassinate Obama. He required SS protection earlier in his candidacy than anyone in history due to the volume of threats.)
