Polkadot in Pitakwa — A Huge Success 30th July, 2025 Polkadot in Pitakwa was an incredible success, bringing together over 200 passionate attendees for a day of learning, building, and community bonding. We facilitated the creation of 100 wallets (@subwalletapp & @NovaWalletApp ), onboarding many into the Polkadot ecosystem for the very first time. One of the highlights was the minting of 50 exclusive POAPs by @polkadotmemo which is available as NFTs on @KodaDot — they got minted out in no time! We also rocked new Merch designs from @polkadotmkt We also introduced two exciting Nigerian-led projects building on Polkadot: •@My_faceId •@Fw3_xyz We used it as a means of encouraging builders to start building on Polkadot Community participation soared as attendees scanned our QR codes to join key communities like Dotbull (Telegram), Polkadot Discord, and the Polkadot Africa Community. The engagement was so fast, we couldn’t keep track of how many joined. Our learning sessions covered: •Polkadot’s core technology •The growing ecosystem and the Bounties. •JAM and why it’s the future. We also distributed a handy mini Polkadot Customized Notebook/Jotter, which received amazing feedback. It served as a take-home resource to ensure attendees left with beginner friendly Polkadot knowledge. The booklet also featured QR codes linking to Polkadot communities, making it easy for recipients to stay connected.
