👀 On Friday I doubled down on my commitment to digital collectibles by agreeing to acquire most of the assets of @CandyDigital (Candy.io). When the transaction closes in a week or two, I will also serve as CEO. 💪 My view is that the sustained value of digital collectibles of all kinds requires transparency, security, liquidity, scarcity, and desirability. Broke a record at @PackRush 👇 51 features improvements shipped in ONE WEEK. Two months ago I tasked my best engineer to improve how we use AI on the frontend. Here’s what’s working 1 engineer-in-the-loop: audits AI reviews, upgrades rules/skills, stress tests harder tasks, manage conflicts 2 idea guys: originate features, make fast calls, kill feedback loops claude: generation, review, revisions design system & figma MCP: consistent UI This setup is getting noticeably better every week. We occasionally tag the full eng team for review and quality is confirmed improving. 51 PRs is nice. The real win is compounding: ship → find gaps → improve the tools or your command of the tools → ship even faster.

two years in the making. creating a 25k collection that lived up to the original doodles magic wasn't easy.. but it’s a labor of love, and i’m proud of the result. four years in, doodles has never had a secondary character collection. i was apprehensive about making one. i didn’t want another trivial spin-off. it needed to add to our world.. a complementary layer of variation, something with the right ingredients for gamification, something that speaks to new markets, and above all.. the art had to slap. doopies achieves this. to the doodles community: you've been here since the start, this is for you. thank you for sticking with us and believing in what we’re creating. to everyone about to join us: welcome to our weird and wonderful world. bt

6 months ago we started building @packrush and today we’re live. I’ve been building products in crypto for over a decade. I’ve felt and experienced massive success and also had countless things blow up in my face. In 2013, I launched @PredictBits. A prediction market for Bitcoin. One of the first. Just as it went into beta, Mt. Gox got hacked and crypto imploded. As if that wasn’t bad enough, my site got hacked too. Customer deposits gone, Twitter gone, all of my BTC gone. Total devastation. I had to walk away. I returned to Crypto in 2017 and eventually joined @DapperLabs to work on @CryptoKitties. I was the Product lead. In case you weren’t there - CK created a wave of adoption and onboarded 100k normies without the UX we have today. It IS the first NFT and I’ll die on that hill. By day I was working on making breeding & collecting CK more exciting. By night I was racing cats/horses/pigs on-chain and launching NFT/DeFi experiments. It wasn’t long before our team caused an even bigger wave with @NBATopShot. I found myself ripping packs and aiding the team as a product manager for bugs & customer experience. Everything was on fire but I loved every minute of it. One of my regrets from this cycle was not having an answer for the P2E waves my good friend @Jihoz_Axie caused and not going hard on early signs of crypto’s iGaming product-market fit. In 2021 I left Dapper to build Doodles with @burnttoast, @evankeast and we quickly became a big name in NFTs. When top teams jump on a wave, success can quickly follow, but good luck if you’re a tourist. My biggest learning: ride the waves, keep convictions. I’ve watched teams launch into perfect narratives and fail because they weren’t truly in love with the trenches. Talent matters, but obsession is the edge. Put those together and you 10x the result. This note is for the founder hesitant to ride a wave, and for the one pivoting to every new meta. I’d build PackRush in any market. The same way I built that prediction market before the headlines. The difference now is a team I trust. @packrush is here. A culmination of my product experience and obsessions with a world class team in: @ianPun_ my goat CTO and fellow Dapper alum, @soldthebottom COO, @hedgedhog7 CSO Packs are booming. Prediction markets are booming. iGaming is booming. It’s time to ride another wave.

haters are just a side effect of winning & being early
Had an interesting conversation yesterday about the way many NFT projects expanded far beyond being just NFT projects. Look at Doodles for example, back when one of the co-founders said "we are no longer an NFT project" he got a lot of hate for it, but looking at it now, he was absolutely right. Doodles is now a brand active in music, fashion, film (with their bew Universal partnership), collectibles and even AI with their new tool that they teased on the timeline, all powered by $DOOD. That doesn't mean that the NFTs don't play a key role in all that, but every NFT ecosystem that is still relevant today is now more than just a "project"

1/ NFTs are broken - a🧵 One of my strongest convictions that has yet to materialize for NFT art is that collectors will realize smart contract mechanisms are what make them unique. It’s what separates NFTs as a class from other art forms, even including “just” digital art.

doodles has weathered every storm that any other collection has. we're consistently pushing forward while other projects, talking heads, and even financial institutions rise and fall. top collections have come and gone.. even major brands like nike couldn’t sustain. there is zero debate that we have the best art.. even our heaviest fudders cant argue that. this space often vacillates between uninspiring and hard to look at. doodles brings actual cultural significance.. web3 would look a lot different if doodles had never existed, and regardless of the noise on your timeline, I think doodles would be deeply missed if we were to disappear. luckily for all of you.. we’re not fuckin leaving !!
