Really excited to have achieved a life goal to be a published photographer. My photo of Metropol Parasol appears in DK's 'Manmade Wonders of the World' coffee table book, and I'm genuinely thrilled to have accomplished a dream. #DreamBig #photography #lifegoals

I built an app that crunches millions of real MOT results into reliability reports for most cars. Built with AI in a weekend.๐Ÿ‘‡open.substack.com/pub/praducโ€ฆ

This is interesting. If you set a status in Slack, it'll give you the option to pause notifications, but as soon as you type in "Vacationing", it decides you will get those notifications. Do they not unplug from work at @SlackHQ?

Is this maybe just badly worded copy, and it means you'll get your notifications when you return from vacay?

Please have 6 years job experience. That said, you don't need it, but you should be motivated. However, you should already have all the skills and experience needed.

In the same way that every product felt the need to have their equivalent of Snapchat stories for a while there, we're now in a dimension where every product feels the need to have its own spin on generative AI.

General reminder to #prodmgmt that putting a list of features in front of a customer and asking them which ones they would like isn't a customer interview. I'm not sure it's anything other than misleading.

AI which is trained to send highly targetted spam emails that bypass junk filters, and AI which is trained to spot them will be the great battle of our ages.

Could 2023 finally be the year news organisations stop writing articles sourced from Reddit threads? We don't need anymore rehashing of AITA or weird things interviewers do to root out candidates.

Here's the thing about Impressions though: they're not views. Just because a Tweet was served in a timelines, doesn't mean they were read, it's just a potential opportunity to be read. A viewability metric (i.e. Tweet was visible on screen for x seconds) is a better metric.

Tweets are read ~100 times more than they are liked

I'm getting incredibly good at figuring out from a tweet alone who's verified because they're notable and who's paying eight bucks for it.

#movember achieved! Grown my Mo over the past month to support men's mental health. My best mate @crazyramblings lost his battle with mental health last year, which devasted me. Let's raise funds to help others and prevent suicide. movember.com/m/14853734?mc=1

Please note that Twitter will do lots of dumb things in coming months. We will keep what works & change what doesnโ€™t.
