Just letting everyone know, we are aware of the break in ppb with the most recent releases of pysdl2-dll. It's not on them, it's on us. In the mean time, pin your pysdl2-dll dependency to 2.0.20 to keep going forward!

I took part in a game jam with an engine I've never used before, and here is what I came up with: LETTER OF SEAN ... or was it marque??? plantandplay.itch.io/letter-… created in about 20 hours over the course of 3 weeks with @pursuedpybear

The Birthday Jam is on! We don't want you to crunch for the jam, which is why you have a few weeks for your entry, please only use about three days worth of time (you can decide what that means!) And if you need assistance, join our discord: discord.gg/uDbauD5

We're an education focused game engine. @pathunstrom demos it by live coding. Our goal is to be as accessible as possible while preventing us from limiting the possibilities available to learners and educators.

Another promising game engine is @pursuedpybear, given it was created with the intent of being an educational resource. As I was assured, PPB comes with sensible defaults for pretty much anything, so you can get a nice game running with VERY LITTLE code. ppb.readthedocs.io/en/stable…

PursuedPyBear does! We continuously test against Python betas, to make sure that we're on top of any changes.
Python 3.10 dropped two days ago, but had been in beta for five months. It’s a little discouraging how many packages don’t claim to support it yet: pyreadiness.org/3.10/ They probably work fine, but don’t have the right metadata yet.
