Hey, want to join our discord where you can talk to the maintainers directly? discord.gg/s7qx493 (We also encourage you to just talk about making games!)
Exciting news part 2:
I’m also happy to share that I am kicking off the search for my next engineering leadership role! 🎉🎉🎉
Read more about me, what I'm looking for, and recent testimonials from my direct reports and colleagues here:

Just letting everyone know, we are aware of the break in ppb with the most recent releases of pysdl2-dll. It's not on them, it's on us. In the mean time, pin your pysdl2-dll dependency to 2.0.20 to keep going forward!
I took part in a game jam with an engine I've never used before, and here is what I came up with:
LETTER OF SEAN ... or was it marque???
plantandplay.itch.io/letter-…
created in about 20 hours over the course of 3 weeks with @pursuedpybear
The Birthday Jam is on! We don't want you to crunch for the jam, which is why you have a few weeks for your entry, please only use about three days worth of time (you can decide what that means!) And if you need assistance, join our discord: discord.gg/uDbauD5
Only two more days until we start the Binny Birthday Jam! ppb is turning 6 years old, and we think it's time folks give it a try! Join us: itch.io/jam/binnys-birthday-…
We're an education focused game engine. @pathunstrom demos it by live coding. Our goal is to be as accessible as possible while preventing us from limiting the possibilities available to learners and educators.
Happy birthday to Binny, our binary bear!
To celebrate our bear's and game engine's birthday, we're having a game jam.
You can find out more at ppb.dev/2022/02/02/bbj-2022.…
Another promising game engine is @pursuedpybear, given it was created with the intent of being an educational resource.
As I was assured, PPB comes with sensible defaults for pretty much anything, so you can get a nice game running with VERY LITTLE code.

New ppb release out now: github.com/ppb/pursuedpybear…
A couple of new features, but lots of background work to make our documentation more stable, our CI pipelines better, and our test suite less likely to hang.
Python 3.10 dropped two days ago, but had been in beta for five months. It’s a little discouraging how many packages don’t claim to support it yet: pyreadiness.org/3.10/
They probably work fine, but don’t have the right metadata yet.
