Today, I had the honor of meeting Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins! 🫡 I had the chance to speak with him about how @RegimentGG is using gaming to unite tens of thousands of veterans, and I shared one of the projects we are working on. Last weekend, REGIMENT hosted a $1,000 Call of Duty Tournament at @AmericanLegion Post 282 in Bloomfield, NY! 🇺🇸 Thanks to previous Post Commander Anthony Gaiter & @Brparadox, the event was a huge success and some gamers traveled across the country to attend. Many players stated that this was their first time ever entering an American Legion Post. This demonstrates the potential for gaming programs to serve as an effective outreach tool, bringing new people through the doors while fostering a sense of community and belonging. Gaming isn’t the end all answer to save and modernize our nations Veteran Service Organizations, but it’s a step in the right direction, and we’re continually proving that it works.

We wore it on our shoulders, deployed under it, and swore an oath to defend it. For the men and women of this community, it has never been just a piece of cloth. 5 years ago, I joined @RegimentGG and it saved my life. I know that sounds like an exageration, but it's true. I was in a situation where I felt completely alone. All that changed from a simple tiktok video. I love all of you awesome nerds.
