In honor of Anne Frank’s birthday on June 12, we’re sharing 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗘 as part of the Reboot x ChaiFlicks Shorts Film Festival.
Written by Adi Eshman, 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗘 explores questions of cultural representation, authenticity, empathy and appropriation through the story of two actresses, one a white Jewish American woman and the other a Black woman, who both feel deeply connected to 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘈𝘯𝘯𝘦 𝘍𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘬 and are both considered “right” for the title role in an upcoming production.
𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗘 premieres today, June 8, on ChaiFlicks as part of the Reboot x ChaiFlicks Shorts Film Festival, a month-long celebration of bold, unexpected Jewish stories from filmmakers around the world.
