I’m very chuffed to share the good news that I’ve just passed @CISI’s Level 7 Financial Plan Case Study with an overall mark of 89%. After I complete some formalities with CISI, shortly I will also hold the globally renowned CFP™ certification! I’ll be celebrating this weekend😁

Looking forward to this. First meetings with clients are so important to not only listen to their concerns and values, but also it set out expectations and is an opportunity for both parties to decide if it’s going to be the right fit.

Freezing of personal tax bands (IHT nil-rate, pensions Lifetime allowance, more or less basic and higher rate tax bands aside from small increase in 2022-23) & corporation tax raised to 25% to fill the government’s budget deficit #budget2021

Freezing pension lifetime allowance does nothing to address the inherent “unfairness” in how DC pensions & DB pensions (which are more generous) are calculated against this allowance. This should be equalised - more ppl enrolled in DC pensions so raises generational fairness Qs

As expected, mini-stamp duty holiday extended until 30th June 2021 - good for those tight on time to complete or in a long chain. But also, should give enough time to those who have been sitting on the fence to also venture into buying and complete their purchase. #budget2021

This should certainly reduce the pressure on buyers and sellers, and a removal of the cliff-edge end of stamp duty holiday. Would this plus the announced “government guarantee” on 95% mortgages push house prices up further?
