The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olumuyiwa Odusanya, has sounded a strong warning against complacency in tackling food insecurity, revealing that 20% of Lagosians face hunger and malnutrition.
Speaking at the College of Agriculture Day,
interdisciplinary programmes, leveraging science and engineering to drive food security solutions.
👉 The event underscored the vital role of agricultural education in national development and called for renewed urgency in combating hunger across Lagos State.

*LASUSTECH Students Champion Insurance Awareness with Campus Walk*
Students of the Department of Insurance and Actuarial Science recently organized an Insurance Awareness Walk across the Ikorodu campus of the University of today Wednesday, 20th May, 2026.
The awareness campaign, themed “A Future Refined,” was aimed at promoting greater awareness and deeper penetration of insurance culture within the Nigerian society.
Speaking on the initiative, the Head of Department, Mrs. Adeola K. Banjo, explained that the exercise was
designed not only to enlighten members of the university community on the importance of insurance policies, but also to provide students with practical exposure and enhance their communication and interpersonal skills through direct engagement and advocacy.
