If every journalist who tweets about Elon Musk today also tweets about the PRESS Act — which would stop the government from spying on or subpoenaing journalists forever — we can get this thing passed no problem. theintercept.com/2022/12/15/…

It's not a search tool. If you ask for specific information like, "When was the last time the Red Sox won the World Series, ChatGPT can't answer. Google can. Google vs. ChatGPT: Here's what happened when I swapped services for a day cnb.cx/3FpkxYA

Translation: They have no talent judgement and they quickly overpaid and we're thrilled to take their money for the next five years while underperforming.
Boras: “The demand for the player was equivalent to the start of a race. … We had to create a ZBO — a Zoom buyout. … Chaim and his group were really aligned with us.”

Experimenting with asking ChatGPT to write song lyrics this morning and lyricists should not be threatened, let's put it that way.

Fed attempts to slow economy, slows economy as planned and Wall St panics because Fed is following the plan (and would be even more upset if it didn't because that would mean it wasn't trying to control inflation).

Yes, it is. You can learn to ignore stuff. You can make an effort to be nice. You can have spirited but civil conversations.

Well, you might still be a jerk, but it's not your fault the platform makes toxicity the path of least resistance. wired.trib.al/igTfou5

This is great, except for the fact that the corpus of information that ChatGPT has access to only goes back to 2021. That matters because it's missing any updated articles the doctor could have referenced that might have shed more light on the condition and treatment.

In an effort to wean myself from Twitter for news, I've set up Inoreader with the press release feeds from Oracle, Microsoft, Google Cloud, AWS, Salesforce and Adobe. These feeds are so full rubbish, it's hard to notice when there is actual news mixed in.Any other ideas?

After playing with ChatGPT, I think we should take a step back from the breathless hype. We just cleared peak crypto, so now we can hype this for a few months. It will have utility of course, as will crypto in some form, just don't expect it to change the world just yet.

I've often complained on this platform about terrible customer service, and one thing I've noted as this year has gone on, and the economic uncertainty has grown, is that customer service has gotten so much worse. If there's one place you shouldn't be cutting back, it's that.

As I've been considering holiday gifts, it occurs to me that there isn't one Red Sox player jersey I would pay money for except Raffi and chances this his last season, so why bother? Also, why pay for NESN this year?

Me and @ron_miller had thoughts about the SBF and the investors who keep backing such founders. "A white guy could play video games during an investor call or come to a meeting dressed as Spongebob’s pineapple house and still likely take a check home." techcrunch.com/2022/11/14/lo…
