As the SMFR Academy Class of 24-2 nears the end of their 20-week training, recruits invited their families—who have supported them throughout the past 19 weeks—to the drill ground to demonstrate the skills they’ve learned.
Despite the frigid temperatures Tuesday night, there were lots of smiles as the recruits demonstrated the tools used for extrication from a vehicle accident and a simulated residential structure fire.
The 17 recruits of 24-2 Academy will graduate Friday, December 13th at 6:00 p.m. in a ceremony at Arapahoe Community College. The ceremony will be live-streamed on the SMFR YouTube channel.
