Physics students from SLPS's Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience spent time in our Aviation Science, @SLU_WATER Institute, and Physics labs on Monday learning about ways their physics lessons have numerous applications in these areas!

On 9/29, the WATER Institute participated in @NGRREC's 2023 Water Festival which hosted over 900 fifth graders from across the region! We loved teaching students about #microplastics in #water sources, and Dewey had a great time making new friends!

Researchers at @slu_water wanted to see if microplastics can still be found in a cave system without human presence.
The answer is yes. The team discovered microplastics in large numbers in both water and sediment in the Cliff Cave in St. Louis County. bit.ly/45e67FB

This week, we got to host two @SLU_SSE summer camp groups of high school students from #STL and across the country to explore #water #research in the lab and in the field! We had so much fun and hope to see everyone back at @SLU_Official soon! #STEM #SummerAtSLU

After a flood washed away our auto-sampling instrument, a multiparameter sonde used to analyze #water quality, we thought it was lost forever. Yesterday the #research team found it after weeks of searching! And it was collecting data the whole time! What a way to end the week!✨
