The restoration of our Wessex is almost complete. First picture is of XM833 when she arrived in May 2019 and the second picture was taken yesterday 27th April 2022

Today a team of very muscular volunteers pulled our long term SWAM resident Wessex HAS.3 XM833 out of the restoration hangar. It'll be rubbed down outside before going back in the hangar where it will then receive a nice new coat of paint ....Go "Team Wessex"

Our most recent exhibit on display is the BAE/Panavia Tornado GR.4T ZA612 which came to us from Porton Down ...a great addition to the hangar and company for our GR.1P ZA326 ..let's hope they make babies !

SWAM are proud to announce the launch of our 1st Book 'AMAZING PLANES ' We have teamed up with Children's author Faye Beerling and Illustrator Malcolm Cleverley to produce this lovely book for Children of approximately ages 3-6

ANNOUNCEMENT - Today it gives me great pleasure to announce that SWAM will be re-opening the hangar doors to the public on the weekend of 22nd & 23rd May. I know a lot of you are keen to come and visit again and the volunteers are very much looking forward to seeing you all. IanG

Arriving today at SWAM from Coventry is the rear section of DC-6A G-APSA ..the other sections will follow soon and it will be re-assembled in due course ready for display.

More good news from SWAM ...We are pleased to announce that Tornado GR.4T ZA612 has been secured for display at the Museum. The aircraft is ex 16Sqn/Lossiemouth and is currently at Porton Down from where it will be roaded to St Athan in early June.

GOOD NEWS FOLKS ....The SWAM trustees will be holding a meeting on the 5th May to discuss opening the museum on the weekend of the 22nd May, so please watch this space for further announcements.
