On Tuesday 27 January, the annual Holocaust Memorial Day Service will take place in the Abbey Gardens Peace Garden at 10.30 am. This National Day of Remembrance is in honour of victims of genocide and all are welcome.

You will hopefully notice that the sound quality has improved in the Cathedral! We’ve had all new microphones and speakers, which should make a difference towards the back of the Nave. We have also updated our cabling and now have HD video on screens.

We said farewell to Archdeacon Sally at Plough Sunday as she comes to the end of her time as Archdeacon for Rural Mission and member of Cathedral Chapter. We thank Sally for her ministry among the Diocese and Cathedral and wish her well for the future.

Today we celebrate the Baptism of Christ at our morning services. We remember Jesus' baptism when the heavens were opened and a voice from heaven declared Jesus to be God's beloved Son. As we do so, we remember our own baptism; we remember that we are all God's beloved children.
