I don’t invest. I trade. In trading you need to regularly take money off the table.
What I fear is everyone in some way is an investor and is invested long (housing, stocks, funds, pensions etc) in things that may not be as easy to take off the table as table as they think. If at all.

Your fridge freezer during a power cut.
Few hours - fine no harm
A day - some fridge stuff has to go
2 days - freezer stuff thaws.
3 days - everything goes from both
Oil and the economy is on day 3. We just haven’t opened the fridge door to see.
