“We were in the process of redoing characters and had started to work on a cherry blossom Spike that was based on an earlier pink skin concept. It turned out that our Korean team had also played around with the same theme, as players love the character so much. It felt like a no-brainer! Spike is cool and lovable but also kinda weird, which fits well with the Sakura storyline.”

In early development, Colt went through many looks. The team tried out different cowboy hats to match the Western vibe they were testing, but as Brawl Stars grew into a larger universe, the hats just didn’t make sense anymore.
As a result, his bold, helmet-like hair became the signature instead. Iconic. Impossible to miss. Just like Colt.
