For transparency with assessors and customers:
Over the past few months, a new EPC platform has appeared using the domain mr-epc and the brand “Mr EPC.” The individual behind this business was previously a member of The EPC Man network for 2 years and was therefore familiar with how our platform connects local assessors with genuine enquiries.
This means there are now two separate platforms operating in the EPC sector using similar naming and offering comparable services.
For context, I registered the domain mrepc .co.uk back in 2016 to protect variations associated with The EPC Man brand. A domain dispute was later brought before Nominet, and the decision resulted in the mrepc .co.uk domain being transferred away from me.
While I would naturally have preferred a different outcome, I respect the process and the decision. The important point is that The EPC Man network continues exactly as it always has — supporting assessors across the UK and generating EPC enquiries through a platform that has been operating and evolving successfully for many years.
One piece of advice I always give to assessors when considering joining any EPC network or directory is to check how well the website performs in search engines, particularly Google. If customers cannot easily find the site when searching for EPC services, it can be difficult for any platform to generate consistent enquiries.
Over the years, many assessors have joined The EPC Man network because it was one of the first platforms designed to connect local EPC providers with genuine enquiries — a model that has continued to evolve successfully for more than a decade.
Thank you to the many assessors and customers who continue to support The EPC Man network.
