At the 7th International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) 2025 in Bogotá, Colombia 🇨🇴, global leaders, researchers, and advocates came together under the theme “Equity Through Action” to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights for all. @TheGirlGen–ALM, represented by Ida Ndione, Programme Director at Amref Health Africa West Africa, contributed to the dialogue through a poster presentation showcasing evidence and lessons from the Africa-led movement to end FGM. The session sparked meaningful engagement and strengthened partnerships, reaffirming that ending FGM is not separate from, but central to, achieving SRHR equity worldwide. #ICFP2025 #EndFGM #SRHR #EquityThroughAction #TheGirlGen

À #ICFP2025, Peter Fongeh Temate de Vision in Action Cameroon a participé à plusieurs sessions de partage d'expérience. Il a aussi présenté en session orale, son résumé dont le thème est "Étude de l’impact de l’accompagnement des femmes ayant recours à l’avortement autogéré au Cameroun". Un travail essentiel qui met en avant l’importance de l’accès à une information fiable, un accompagnement humain et sécurisant et le rôle déterminant des communautés dans la réduction des risques liés à l'avortement non sécurisé. Cette production parmi tant d'autres au sein du mouvement est une contribution majeure pour renforcer la production de connaissances francophones sur l’avortement sécurisé et encourager des approches ancrées dans la réalité des femmes. Cette dernière journée a également été marquée par plusieurs sessions d'une grande qualité. @FatimN_Traore, Manager Régional de l'UCPO, accompagnée de @HawaB Point Focal PO / FP 2030 de la #Mauritanie, a animé sa deuxième session tant attendue, celle consacrée à la "Dignité menstruelle et accès aux produits". Une intervention enrichie par les contributions remarquables de Ibrahim Traoré ; @DrNafi138373, @merveilleayi, Ximena Lucia Armendariz Nicho et Dr. @AdohinzinCletus. Parallèlement, @AhamadahMarie, Youth Lead à l'#UCPO, a livré une brillante intervention lors de sa session portant sur l' "Accès des jeunes aux services de planification familiale en contexte de crise dans les pays du Partenariat de Ouagadougou. Elle a eu l'honneur d'accueillir en tant qu'intervenants : @sira_sojourner, @abdoulismaelzon et Kadidiatou Diarra, Présidente du @AMPPFMali1. Dans la même dynamique, Koudédia Konaté, Coordinatrice Régionale a permis au public de découvrir les différentes actions mises en œuvre pour "Impliquer les jeunes à travers des solutions à base communautaires et technologiques pour de meilleurs DSSR". Nos sincères remerciements à ses éminents intervenants, notamment Bérénice Erika DABIRA, Présidente @MajBurkina. Pour clôturer en beauté cette participation exceptionnelle, @djenebou_diallo, Docteure en Droit, Responsable Plaidoyer Senior, après avoir conclu son cycle de sessions par une 4e intervention sur le thème "Innovation, inclusion et participation des jeunes dans les DSSR", nous a honoré de sa présence sur scène à la cérémonie de clôture officielle de l'#ICFP2025. Elle a su exprimer avec justesse les sentiments qui nous animent : pour la communauté du #PO, cette conférence a représenté une autre opportunité d'accroître la visibilité de l'Afrique Francophone et de mettre en lumière tout le travail remarquable accompli pour améliorer la vie de millions de femmes, de jeunes et de familles dans la région.
