Wrote about the "Kings of 1st Party Data" Uber Advertising. I spent time with Mark Grether, Global VP Uber Ads in New York last week. Regardless of your views, you should understand their capabilities. Thanks @timburrowes @acatinatree for the opportunity. unmade.media/p/ubers-big-mov…

Not going to be a good morning for Qantas. No automated bag drop at Sydney domestic. Staff are coping so far - had to wait only about five mins but the queue is already growing

I might start a new tradition and repost this once a year
Replying to @timburrowes
Optus should already have had a playbook written for this sort of issue. Although its team have done crisis simulations they focused on network outages. But check out parent company Singtel's latest annual report; customer backlash, fines and litigation, they predicted it all

Only 1% injury rate for conference attendees. Not sure that’s actually a win
Apes, we are aware of the eye-related issues that affected some of the attendees of ApeFest and have been proactively reaching out to individuals since yesterday to try and find the potential root causes. Based on our estimates, we believe that much less than 1% of those attending and working the event had these symptoms. While nearly everyone has indicated their symptoms have improved, we encourage anybody who feels them to seek medical attention just in case.
Community note
During ApeFest, attendess suffered from unprotected exposure to UV lights, leading to skin and eye injuries such as sunburn, eye pain, and temporary blindness theverge.com/2023/11/6/2394…
