We truly enjoyed hosting Dr. Ashley Matthew, MD, PhD,
@AshleyMatthewMD a fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Gabriella Avellino at
@BrownUrology. Ashley did an outstanding job during this week’s Male Infertility Microsurgical Course at
@WCMUrology, achieving nearly perfect microsurgical outcomes and an exceptionally high patency rate in our animal model. Even more remarkable, her twin sister, Dr. Asia Matthew,
@AsiaOnabanjo is also a urologist and is currently completing her residency at
@UNCurology. She plans to pursue a male infertility fellowship at Henry Ford Health under the mentorship of Dr. Ali Dabaja,
@AliDabajaMD, a
@WCMUrology alumnus, and Dr. Amarnath Rambhatla. What an extraordinary coincidence: both sisters earned their MD/PhD degrees from the University of Massachusetts and chose the same specialty—male infertility and reproductive medicine. Their talent, dedication, and passion for advancing men’s reproductive health are truly inspiring. Working with talented and motivated fellows is one of the greatest joys of academic medicine. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing trainees grow into future leaders who advance our field and improve patient care.
