Swipe to see the incredible transformation of Leeper Park into the new David Filer Tennis Center in South Bend, Indiana. ➑️ This isn't just a story about a facility upgrade; it’s a story about a community rallying together to honor a legacy. David Filer was a nationally ranked tennis talent who tragically lost his battle with brain cancer in 2023 at just 16 years old. To honor his love for the game and his dream of bringing national tournaments to his hometown, his family, the South Bend community, and the USTA teamed up to raise $1.8 million for a complete reconstruction. The site has now been transformed into a regional hub featuring 13 state-of-the-art concrete courts ready for USTA tournaments, youth camps, and community play. A beautiful reminder of how the sport of tennis can bridge tradition, innovation, and legacy. ✨
