Today, I had the privilege of welcoming Lieutenant Governor of Texas @DanPatrick to the stage at the Texas Brain Economy Summit. His remarks focused on a topic that touches countless Texas families: the fight against dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Hearing about Texas’ commitment to investing in brain health research over the next decade through the Dementia Prevention Research Institute of Texas (DPRIT) was both encouraging and inspiring. UTMB is grateful for the efforts of the Legislature to ensure our state is a national leader in biomedical innovation and discovery for these devastating diseases, to improve the health of current and future Texans.
