Every year, California sends 3M used tires to Baja. Without proper disposal systems, many of these tires are discarded into the Tijuana River, where they pollute water, clog channels, and devastate ecosystems.

Our team is SO grateful for the power of community! With the support of local leaders, partners, and residents, we’ve installed a second trash boom in Matadero Canyon, Tijuana. Together, we’ll capture 80,000 lbs of plastic a year, protecting our rivers, oceans, and wildlife!
