We’re proud to be supporting #CarersWeek 2026! This year’s theme is about Building Carer Friendly Communities.. ..What is a carer friendly community? A carer friendly community is a place, space or organisation that values carers and does something practical to support them by identifying carers, listening and responding to their experiences so that they are not left to cope alone. What makes carer friendly communities?.. Carer friendly communities are places, spaces, services and community groups where unpaid carers are recognised, understood, and valued. They make support part of everyday life ensuring carers get the opportunities and help they need. They are made up of people who: ✅recognise unpaid carers and the vital role they play ✅understand the realities and impact of caring ✅take action to identify and support carers in practical ways ✅empower carers to live fulfilling lives When communities work together in this way, carers have fairer opportunities and can lead better lives. Find out more information about #CarersWeek and how you or your organisation can be involved, follow the link:👉carersweek.org

Teacher CPD - Fundamental Movement Skills This 2-part course will provide a range of activities suitable for Early Years upwards, giving children the firm foundations they need. Many children arrive in school without a wide and varied movement vocabulary, unable to perform basic fundamental movement skills (FMS). Changes in childcare practices and technological developments mean it is less likely that children have been allowed to play out, jump in puddles, climb trees and take part in rough and tumble play. Many children spend increasing amounts of time sitting, watching educational videos, playing with smart toys and in general being much more sedentary than in the past. This course will provide a range of activities suitable for Early Years upwards, giving children the firm foundations they need, to develop fundamental skills of Stability, Object Control and Locomotion, enabling them to better access Physical Education and Sport.
