Eighty-two years ago today, American and Allied troops landed in Normandy and began the long fight to liberate Europe from Nazi tyranny. On D-Day, we remember the sacrifice, honor the courage, and recognize the service of the Greatest Generation. Their heroism changed the course of history and secured the freedoms we enjoy today. We must never take those freedoms for granted.

John Cornyn can now publicly admit what many of my Republican colleagues have long said behind closed doors — Donald Trump is only loyal to himself. It’s time for action. Find the courage to stand up to this rogue president and hold him accountable.
An old, but apt fable: A scorpion wants to cross a river but cannot swim, so it asks a frog to carry it across. The frog hesitates, afraid that the scorpion might sting it, but the scorpion promises not to, pointing out that it would drown if it killed the frog in the middle of the river. The frog considers this argument sensible and agrees to transport the scorpion. Midway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog anyway, dooming them both. The dying frog asks the scorpion why it stung despite knowing the consequence, to which the scorpion replies: "I am sorry, but I couldn't help myself. It's my character." @Wikipedia

One of the most important responsibilities of a Member of Congress is making government work for the people we serve. It’s a responsibility I take seriously, especially when it comes to delivering for our veterans and military families. Since taking office, my team has assisted more than 37,000 constituents and helped return millions of dollars in federal benefits, including helping veterans access VA care, resolve delayed claims, secure disability benefits, and get answers when the system falls short. Our veterans served this country. They should never have to fight bureaucracy to get the benefits they earned.

I am grateful to have Dolly’s support in this race! During my decade representing Folsom in Congress, I was proud to help secure federal funding for the Folsom Dam project and several other projects that improve quality of life across our community. But just as important is the work my office does to make sure we are there for families like Dolly’s when they need help navigating federal agencies and cutting through red tape. There will be no meaningful oversight or accountability of this corrupt Administration until there is a Democratic majority in Congress. November is coming.

Proud to have the support of the Folsom Chamber of Commerce in this race! Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. I'll keep fighting in Congress to uplift entrepreneurs, create good-paying jobs, and expand opportunity for families across our region.

Rare moment of honesty from President Trump. He does not understand or care about the challenges you are facing. We must elect a Democratic majority to Congress that does.

This National Nurses Week, I want to thank the nurses across Northern California who show up every day to care for patients and families with compassion, skill, and dedication. As a doctor, I know firsthand that nurses are the backbone of our health care system. Their work saves lives, comforts families, and helps keep our communities healthy and strong. To every nurse working long hours, advocating for patients, and making a difference every day: thank you. We are grateful for all that you do.
