βΎ RESPECT EVERYONE βΎ
There has been a concerning increase in the use of racist and homophobic language on ball fields across British Columbia.
Let us be clear: there is no place for racism, discrimination, or homophobic language in baseball on or off the field.
Baseball is a game for everyone. We all share a responsibility to create safe, welcoming, and respectful environments for athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, and families.
π« Racist language has no place in our sport.
π« Homophobic language has no place in our sport.
β
Respect, inclusion, and sportsmanship are expected from everyone.
We encourage coaches, team officials, and parents to have meaningful conversations with athletes about the impact of their words and the standards expected when representing their team and community.
Respect Everyone. Every Player. Every Coach. Every Official. Every Game.
