🌊 Our President, Ivan Jiménez, took part in the General Assembly of the Atlantic Arc Commission of the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (#CPMR), which brought together regional authorities, European institutions and experts from a range of fields in Quebec to discuss joint strategies, advance the development of the future Atlantic Macro-Region, and coordinate policies and funding. 🎤 Jiménez participated in the session dedicated to Port-City initiatives, held at the Ross Gaudreault Cruise Terminal of the Port of Quebec, where he shared the Port of Bilbao’s initiatives to combine logistics and port activity ⚓️ with the quality of life of the people living in the surrounding waterfront municipalities 🌱 🤝 The session also featured María Cuesta, Head of Planning and Internal Control at the Port Authority of Santander (@port_santander), and Pascal Duforestel, Councillor for International Cooperation of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region. 🌊 Today we took part in the 'Economía Azul: Blue Growth' workshop at Itsasmuseum, held as part of @BEO_Week – Basque Environment and Ocean Week, an event dedicated to environmental and ocean protection that brings together citizens, science and business innovation to promote solutions that accelerate the ecological transition. ⚓️ During the workshop, Itziar Sancho our Head of Development and Sustainability explored how the Port of Bilbao can contribute to the development of the Blue Economy through innovation, particularly in areas such as marine energy and offshore wind power 🍃 🏆 The event also featured the presentation of the Ocean Beacons Award to @HaizeaWindGroup 🍃 - which operates a quayside facility at our port - in recognition of its commitment to marine sustainability and innovation within the Blue Economy 💙 #BilbaoPort #BEOW26
