Mallory was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease eBehcet’s Disease. She also experienced severe weight gain as a result of steroids she was using to treat her body lesions. #ChasingTheCure.

Tessra also developed Type II Diabetes from the steroids she was prescribed for her mouth sores. She was diagnosed with two rare diseases, pemphigus vulgaris and autoimmune angioedema, and will start taking non-steroid medications to treat those. #ChasingTheCure

When we met Deja, she was suffering from gastroparesis so severe that she had to go to the ER the day we were supposed to interview her. She is now on a 24-hour glucose monitor, and is receiving specialist dietary advice. #ChasingTheCure
