An NIH advisory group announced today that they're recommending the agency boost its minimum #postdoc salary to $70,000, up from the current $56,484. Many postdocs feel "underpaid and overworked," a co-chair said. My latest for @ScienceInsider: science.org/content/article/…

Great manuscript with relevance for schizophrenia.
New paper from the lab! We show how a deficit in attenuating self-generated sounds observed in schizophrenia patients is caused by a major genetic risk factor for the disease, and examine the underlying mechanisms: nature.com/articles/s41467-0…

Another amazing collaboration with @TheBlanchardLab! Thanks to them and all of our other fantastic collaborators without whom this work would not have been possible.
Our paper “GPCR-mediated β-arrestin activation deconvoluted with single-molecule precision” is out today! We use single-molecule FRET imaging and other biophysical approaches to explore the structural dynamics of β-arrestin1 activation upon binding GPCRs. (1/6)

It is with much sadness that we learned about the passing of our mentor, Marc Caron. Deepest condolences to his family. A 2009 picture where we had a go-away party at his house. Always generous, always gracious. He touched and influenced many lives and will be dearly missed.
