Congratulations to Alpine & Pierre Gasly šš» Clearly something was amis with so many drivers penalised for speeding in the pitlane in Monaco. A real shame though for others whose race was affected but good to see the wrongs corrected in this instance

Unexpected news and a real shame for the team. If Ollie was backing Jack Doohan only for others to want Franco Colapinto instead that could explain the resignation - Iām sure weāll find out soon. Sad to see him leave and Iām sure that at Enstone many others will be too.

Busy day for F1 News then (and thereās more to come) As expected, Alpine will use Mercedes engines and gearboxes from 2026 onwards. Dan Fallows steps down as Aston Martin Technical Director which isnāt entirely unexpected and Neils Wittich ends his stint as FIA Race Director, which a week before the Vegas GP seems a strange time to step down from his role with such immediate effect.
