We have a problem and “kicking the can down the road” with another task force does nothing to solve it. Funding already exists for screening, the bill only asked that screeners meet specific criteria.
.@GovEvers vetoes Senate Bill 454, which would overhaul how schools respond to "at-risk" readers by increasing testing for young students and require educators to create a personalized reading plans. Democrats opposed the bill, in part, because it did not provide new funding.
