The AI Labs are worth 0 in the limit because the Chinese spies inside the labs will continue to steal the IP and open source equivalently intelligent models over time.
Why do they do this?
Because the long-term value accrues to the robotic layer, not the software layer, and China is the manufacturing powerhouse now - not the US.
All software becomes infinitely reproducible junk in the long run.
You will be able to point an AI at any piece of software and say 'replicate this exactly' and it will. It will even tell you exactly how much it will cost in tokens to do it.
The US has been busy racing to superintelligence when they should be busy racing to manufacturing supremacy instead. Or at the very least, they should be doing it in parallel.
