My opponent wants to be a United States Senator, and yet he has delayed both his annual tax filing and his required personal financial disclosure until after early voting starts. Unacceptable. Today, I released my tax returns. I'm calling on Congressman Moulton to do the same.
ALT Boston, MA – Today, Senator Ed Markey released his 2025 federal tax return and called on Congressman Seth Moulton to immediately release his own tax returns and provide Massachusetts voters with full transparency regarding his finances before ballots are cast in the Democratic primary.
“The people of Massachusetts deserve a clear and complete picture of the financial interests, investments, and potential conflicts of those seeking to represent them in Washington,” said Senator Markey. “I am releasing my tax return, and I am calling on Congressman Moulton to do the same. Voters have a right to transparency and honesty from their elected representatives—we are accountable to them, not investment interests, CEOs, or shareholders."
Senator Markey’s call comes as Moulton has delayed filing his mandatory personal financial disclosure report, requesting a 90-day extension that pushes the filing and public release of the report to August 13, 2026 – potentially two weeks after mail-in voting
