This is David Sacks. PayPal mafia member and one of Silicon Valley’s greatest investors (Meta, Uber, Airbnb, SpaceX). Trump just named him White House AI & Crypto Czar. Here are 10 quotes that reveal his stance on bitcoin🧵👇

Werner koch, wrote gpg and kept the encryption that signs your SW and protects your comms alive for 20 years on almost no money. While VCs threw billions at casinos, one quiet german handed the world the tools to keep secrets from the state. Happy birthday legend.

Bitcoin mining difficulty just dropped 10%. Which means: • More bitcoin for miners. • Better odds for solo miners. Happy mining 🔥

There's no way to ban under 16s without age verifying everyone, which means ID checks or face scans to log on for every adult in the country. Thats the actual prize here, ID locking the whole internet and ending anonymity, and "for the children" is just the trojan horse to sell it. Parents can already keep their kids off social media, they dont need a surveillance state to do it for them.
We are banning social media access for under 16s. These days kids must find their feet in a world where technology intrudes into every area of their life. I just can’t let that go on anymore. So we’re giving children their childhoods back.
Community note
The UK Government's 'careful review' of the research found a small correlation between children's use of social media and wellbeing, but no evidence of a causal effect: gov.uk/government/pub… assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/696e0b46…

Happy June!
Jun 14
We’re giving away $1,000 every month to the top Braiins Hashpower solo miners. Want a chance to be one of June’s winners? To qualify, rent hashrate through Braiins Hashpower and mine on Braiins Solo pool, or grab a Try Your Luck package. Your share with the highest difficulty across the period gets ranked. The three best shares each month will receive the prize. A lucky user even mined block #938,092, collecting the juicy 3.125 BTC block reward after renting just $75 of hashrate. Happy block hunting 🍀

Yeah, Bitcoin is money. That's why I spend my melting fiat and hold the sats. Quick lesson: It's Gresham's Law, cnturies old. Bad money drives out good money when two forms of money are treated as equal by law or convention. When coins were real silver, states debased them by mixing in cheaper metal, people obviously noticed and spent the junk coins and kept the pure silver ones at home. The good money disappeared from circulation. Same thing today, fiat loses value every year. Bitcoin gets harder every block. Stack accordingly.

Most conferences have become "everything conferences". BTC Prague is still ONLY about Bitcoin. Some of the best conversations I've had all year happened in the last 3 days. Early bird tickets are now available. *Photo credit: Javi Turtleneck.

A ~10% difficulty drop is coming in less than 24 hours. Prepare accordingly! *hint: rent Hashpower from Braiins

A decade of building for the Bitcoin community.
We've spent the last months building for the community. Now it's almost time to show what we've been working on. If you're at BTC Prague, come see it in person. If not, follow us. We've got a lot coming.

Bitcoin miner prices are down as much as 62% over the last year. We’re in one of the most brutal mining markets in history, yet network hashrate remains high. Can your fleet still mine profitably at today’s hashprice? For many miners, the answer depends on efficiency.  1️⃣ An Antminer S19j Pro produces 104 TH/s at 3,068W on stock firmware. That’s 29.5 J/TH. 2️⃣ The Antminer S21 XP produces 270 TH/s at 3,645W on stock firmware. That’s 13.5 J/TH. 3️⃣ With Braiins OS, the S21 XP can reach up to 298 TH/s at the same power consumption. That’s 12.2 J/TH. 🟧 Compared with an S19j Pro, the S21 XP with Braiins OS uses 59% less energy per terahash. That’s the upgrade many miners are making now: replacing older, less efficient hardware with newer machines that are profitable at the current hashprice. 🔸 That is why network hashrate remains high even in such brutal conditions. If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your fleet, Braiins Marketplace gives you a single trusted vendor for the entire mining stack. In addition to ASICs, Braiins can help source containers, cables, cooling, electrical infrastructure, and site components, supported by the same supply chain we use for our own 6 MW mining facility in Houston. • US stock ships domestically with no import taxes. • Hong Kong stock ships worldwide. Does anyone actually use bitcoin in El Zonte? I went on a mission to El Salvador's Bitcoin Beach to ask tourists, locals, and merchants if they use bitcoin.

Reminder: Every 50% drawdown in Bitcoin history was eventually followed by a new ATH. Recovery time ranged from 4 to 25 months from the bottom. The most recent cycle took 16 months.

"Fulfilling climate finance promises to developing countries." There it is, the real agenda always appears eventually. After decades of failed (and false) predictions, the only thing warming consistently is the budget of climate bureaucracies.
The past eleven years have been the hottest on record. Every fraction of a degree brings greater harm – especially to the most vulnerable. This #WorldEnvironmentDay, warning signals are everywhere. This is the moment to act for our environment & for our future.
