Everyday, EMS providers actively respond to calls in many challenging environments: natural disasters, global pandemics, terrorist attacks, and in our neighborhoods. A National Memorial in Washington, DC will honor them all.

EMS Memorial Monday: On this Memorial Monday, we honor the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who famously said, "the time is always right to do what is right." Dr. King advanced the civil rights movement by leading through nonviolence. He valued the importance of people helping people. In 1983, Martin Luther King Jr. Day was established as a holiday throughout the United States. In 2011, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial was dedicated in Washington, D.C. We hope that visitors to this memorial will soon be able to visit the National EMS Memorial recognizing the commitment, service and sacrifice of our EMS Providers.
