In just 3 days, 110 donors came together to raise nearly $18,000 in support of NYPD Detective Michael Marra and his family as they face the fight of their lives. Michael has spent 18 years serving and protecting the people of New York City. Today, the community he has dedicated his life to serving is showing up for him. Behind every donation is a person. Behind every person is a story. And behind every story is a community that refuses to let someone face hardship alone. The numbers tell part of the story: 🛡️ 110 Donors 🔁 21 Shares 💛 $17,973 Raised ⏱️ Just 3 Days But what these numbers truly represent is compassion, generosity, and people choosing to stand beside a family during an incredibly difficult time. To every person who has donated, shared, commented, or helped spread the word—thank you. Your support is helping ease the burden on Michael, his wife, and their four children so they can focus on what matters most: his fight and recovery. This is what community looks like. This is what FundTheFirst is built for.

On June 11th, Toronto Police Service Constable Marc Pinizzotto made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. But before he was an officer, Marc was a husband. Before he wore the badge, he was a father. Before he answered the call, he was the center of his family’s world. Today, a wife is grieving the loss of her partner. Two children are facing a future without their dad. A community is mourning a man remembered not only for his service, but for his kindness, leadership, and unwavering dedication to those around him. Those who knew Marc describe him as the kind of person who always showed up. For his fellow officers. For his friends. For the young athletes he coached. And most importantly, for his family. Now it’s our turn to show up for them. Every donation, every share, and every act of support helps remind Marc’s family that they are not walking this road alone. At FundtheFirst.com, 100% of donations raised for this campaign go directly to Marc’s family, providing support during a time no family should ever have to endure. Please take a moment to donate if you’re able. If you can’t donate, share this post. Sometimes a single share can reach the person who can make all the difference. Let’s honor Marc not only with our words, but with our actions. 🇨🇦💙 For Marc. For his family. For those left behind.

When training, judgment, and duty collide, the personal cost can be life-changing. Officer Joseph Magnano now faces an uphill battle after an incident that occurred in the line of duty. While the legal process moves forward, he and his family are confronting the financial and emotional challenges that come with the loss of a career, income, and stability. This fundraiser was created to help provide support for Officer Magnano and his family during this difficult chapter, including living expenses, legal representation, and the resources needed to navigate the road ahead. Regardless of where people stand on any individual case, supporting first responders and their families during times of hardship remains an important part of the community coming together when it’s needed most. FundTheFirst was built to give families facing unexpected challenges a trusted platform to receive support, and we’re honored to help share Joseph’s story.

When tragedy strikes the first responder community, the response is often immediate, powerful, and deeply personal. In January 2022, the FundtheFirst.com community came together to support the families of fallen NYPD Police Officers Jason Rivera and Wilbert Mora following their heartbreaking Line of Duty deaths. What began as a call for support quickly became one of the most impactful examples of what can happen when thousands of people unite behind a common cause. 📊 Campaign Impact: • $540,292 Raised • 6,379 Donors • 1,680 Shares • Support provided directly to the families of Officers Rivera and Mora Organized by fellow NYPD member Keith Hall and the NYPD Bowling Team, this fundraiser demonstrated the strength of the law enforcement family and the generosity of people across the country who wanted to honor two officers who made the ultimate sacrifice. Officer Jason Rivera and Officer Wilbert Mora represented the very best of public service—dedicated professionals who answered the call to protect others. While no amount of money can ever replace a loved one, the overwhelming support shown through this fundraiser helped ease financial burdens and reminded their families that they would never face their loss alone. At Fund the First, every campaign tells a story, but some become lasting reminders of what communities can accomplish when they stand together. More than half a million dollars was raised not because of a platform, but because thousands of people chose to take action, donate, share, and support families during one of the most difficult moments imaginable. This fundraiser remains a powerful example of our mission: providing a trusted platform where people can come together to support first responders, military members, medical professionals, teachers, and families in need. To every donor, every person who shared the campaign, and every supporter who helped honor Officers Rivera and Mora—thank you for proving that even in the darkest moments, compassion and community can shine the brightest.

In just 3 days, nearly 200 donors have already helped raise over $21,000 for Patrick Morgan and his family as they face an unimaginable battle ahead. Patrick — a husband, father, veteran, and law enforcement officer — was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer in August 2024. This week, his family received devastating news that the cancer has now spread to the bones in his spine. As treatments intensify, Patrick’s wife Lauren has stepped away from work indefinitely to care for him and their two young boys, choosing to stand beside her husband through the most difficult chapter of their lives. While they focus on fighting this disease together, the stress of lost income, medical needs, and everyday expenses continues to grow. This is exactly why communities come together on FundtheFirst.com. Behind every fundraiser is a real family experiencing real hardship, and our mission is to provide a trusted, verified platform where people can safely support those in need. Retired Bethlehem Police Sgt. Joe Riedy and his wife Julianne are facing an unimaginable tragedy after a devastating house fire tore through their Pennsylvania home on May 9, destroying the residence and claiming nearly all of their personal belongings. More than a dozen fire departments responded to battle the blaze, but despite their efforts, the family lost their home, everyday essentials, and countless memories in a matter of moments. Thankfully, Joe, Julianne, and their beloved dog escaped safely without injury, but they are now displaced and beginning the difficult process of rebuilding their lives from temporary housing. Joe dedicated many years of his life to serving and protecting the residents of Bethlehem as a police sergeant, continuing his commitment to public service and his local community long after retirement. Now, during one of the most difficult moments of their lives, the Riedy family needs the same support and compassion they have always shown others. This fundraiser hosted on FundtheFirst.com will help provide immediate necessities, temporary living support, recovery expenses, and critical resources as they work toward restoring a sense of normalcy after this catastrophic loss. Over 130 donors have already stepped up to support the family, showing the power of community coming together during times of crisis. At FundtheFirst.com, we are proud to provide a trusted, verified platform where communities can rally around those in need when life changes in an instant. Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser to help the Riedy family during this devastating time.
