My pal @Gmarans shared this a couple years ago, & I never get tired of mentioning it:
Real estate isn’t rocket science.
Not even close. Real estate is much harder.
And before you cancel me, here’s the logic.
Rocket science is physics. And there are laws to physics. Which are immutable and don’t change.
Once you learn the laws you can navigate that world.
In real estate there are no rules. There is no blueprint. No script.
Experience matters but all negotiations are unique.
The dynamics shift constantly because it’s about people and egos.
And what’s more unpredictable than sensitive psyches?
But there are common themes to successful people in the real estate game.
Resilient, adaptable, quick learning polymaths.
And if you think this post is self-serving, then you’re right.
Although I’m still trying to figure out if Newton had more than 3 laws.

Wow. Office building tax rate had its biggest percent decrease in 16 years and is the lowest rate in 22 years.
Meanwhile apartment buildings tax rate had its biggest percent increase in 15 years and is the highest rate in 10 years.

Met w major NYC landlord today. They’re seeing post-MDW decrease in tour activity. Also in process of several lender workouts which haven’t hit the press. Says everyone everywhere doing the same.

Why are experts needed to explain that employee time theft undermines career development? Slow days I understand. To make it a practice is entirely different.
Experts warn that although the "bare minimum Mondays" trend on TikTok can ease the "Sunday scaries," taking it too far may negatively impact your career.
