#52WeeksOfPhD. Well it wouldn't be a PhD if there wasn't a significant word processing scare! Instead of updating contents the file crashed. I had just 43/90,000 words on a title page on reopening. Thanks goodness for recovery facility in Office 365. Re-edited and saved! Phew.

Missing my #52WeeksOfPhD updates. 2 weeks since I submitted the thesis. It’s gone in a flash but also feels like a whole world away. Preparing some manuscripts for publication. Playing my oboe and cor, 🧵, 🪴, 🧩, 🚶♀️, 🚴♂️ #ADifferentKindOfbusy. Was it really nearly 5 years so far?

#52WeeksOfPhD 6 days. After 4 years and 9 months of study. It’s a wrap. The thesis is all grown. Final checks to be completed then submit this week. It’s going to be very strange to not be adding to the thesis but preparing for defence instead.

Ok. So it’s going to be one -#52WeeksOfPhD 6 weeks and 1 day after all but the last of the assignment marking was today’s priority. Roll on tomorrow evening to finish the thesis writing ✍️

Day ‘off’ today recovering from the marking work. 2 hours of playing in orchestra and a 45 minute oboe lesson today. #Music creates happiness and #Wellbeing. All ready to wrap up the thesis edits by the end of this week of #52WeeksOfPhD. So close now 😊

#52WeeksOfPhD 6. Taking a break from marking for final minor edits. Definitely the last bank holiday #GrowingTheThesis. Biggest challenge is arm and hand pain. Intensive online marking and arm lymphoedema are not good friends, even with very decent speech recognition software!
