OIP-196 is now live on Snapshot (voting ends June 14). It hardens one of the most load-bearing parts of the protocol... the price feeds (particularly for ethereum:0x64aa3364f17a4d01c6f1751fd97c2bd3d7e7f1d5). The upgraded PRICE v1.2 will pull from multiple feeds across different providers (@chainlink, @Api3DAO, @Uniswap, @redstone_defi), with deviation-based filtering and fail-closed behavior so PRICE can tolerate isolated feed failures while rejecting materially divergent prices. It's also backwards-compatible, so downstream policies (Operator, Yield Repurchase Facility, Emission Manager) aren't affected.

@OlympusDAO is voting to upgrade the price feeds behind automated $OHM buy and sell operations. The upgrade adds independent sources from @chainlink, @Api3DAO, @redstone_defi and @Uniswap V3 pools, filters out stale updates, and requires at least 2 valid sources before a price resolves. The Olympus team, in an update posted by @0xJem, removed @PythNetwork after its Hermes data API moved behind a $500/month plan, calling the cost "a non-starter," and substituted @Api3DAO at roughly 0.05-0.1 $ETH per quarter.
