🤝 AKF is pleased to announce a new grant agreement with #PATRIPFoundation, building on our long-standing partnership to support communities in #Tajikistan.
Over the next two and a half years, the €1.6m initiative will strengthen social cohesion and resilience in border areas of Sughd, reaching over 5,600 people directly and 84,500 indirectly.
The programme will deliver impact through a combination of infrastructure and community-focused activities, including:
🪁 New community spaces: construction of a youth centre, early childhood education (ECD) facilities, and a kindergarten to expand access to safe, inclusive services
🚀 Skills and opportunities for young people: entrepreneurship and employability training, financial and digital literacy, plus seed funding for youth-led innovation
⚖️ Promoting gender equality: leadership, participation and skills development for women and girls to support inclusive community development
📣 Addressing gender-based violence: awareness raising through local media channels and collaboration with women and youth-led organisations
❤️🩹 Mental health and psychosocial support: safe spaces, counselling and training for local service providers
