DigiPlus Interactive Corp. has appointed veteran corporate finance executive Ping Chen as its new president, placing one of Asia’s most experienced dealmakers and business strategists at the helm of the company behind BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone.
The appointment was approved during the company’s organizational meeting following its annual stockholders’ meeting on May 29. Chen will also serve as a member of DigiPlus’ Board of Directors.
The move signals DigiPlus’ intention to strengthen its leadership bench as it enters its next stage of expansion, with Chen bringing more than two decades of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, strategic investments, and executive leadership across Asia and global markets.
Before joining DigiPlus, Chen served as chief financial officer, chief investment officer, and executive committee member of one of Asia’s largest publicly listed technology and services conglomerates. He also spent nearly 20 years in global investment banking, holding senior leadership positions at Moelis & Company, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citi, and Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong and London.
Throughout his career, Chen has built a reputation for steering complex mergers and acquisitions, driving transformational growth strategies, and creating long-term value for publicly listed companies.
“Bringing Ping Chen on board at this exact moment is a strategic move for DigiPlus,” said DigiPlus chairman Eusebio H. Tanco. “His extensive global experience, strategic insight, and proven leadership capabilities position him well to help steer the Company through our next phase of expansion and long-term value creation.”
Chen succeeds Andy Tsui, who stepped down after more than four years as president and director.
For investors, Chen’s appointment places DigiPlus in the hands of a seasoned executive with a proven track record in navigating high-growth businesses and international capital markets. He said his priorities include sharpening the company’s long-term strategy, improving financial performance and operational efficiency, and expanding DigiPlus’ digital entertainment ecosystem.
“My mandate is to help design our long-term strategy and execute, also to improve our financial performance and operational efficiency, to deliver higher values to investors and achieve sustainable growth,” Chen said.
A graduate of the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London, Chen holds advanced degrees in financial engineering and engineering management, graduating at the top of his class at Imperial.
With Chen’s global finance and technology background, DigiPlus is signaling confidence that its next chapter will be led by an executive with the experience to manage growth, navigate market shifts, and scale the company’s digital entertainment platforms.
