Morning loves, I’m recording two great Hitchcock movies that run segue on
@BBCTwo today.
Strangers on a Train at 12.25 pm is, for me, one of the most gripping and edge of the seat movies ever made. Robert Walker is a frightening villain in this movie.
But think on this. The film was released in June 1951 and Walker was dead by August. His premature death is complicated to say the least. I’ll leave you to find out why.
Watching Grace Kelly is always a joy: a Hitch’s blond muse par excellence. Dial M for Murder is at 2 pm and renders fine performances by the glorious Grace Kelly and splendid Ray Milland.
Round it off with a Talking Pictures starring the master of suspense himself - Alfred Hitchcock.
