Rad magazine from 1989. Great articles on Moebius, Punisher comic and movie, Batman movie, TMNT movie. Funny enough, they weren’t sure who to cast as April O’Neil at the time due to her ambiguous ethnicity. Time is a flat circle.

Avengers Annual 10!
I bought this for the Michael Golden art, but I forgot it was THAT Avengers story. Chris Claremont laying down a heavy story about consent for the 1980s. Serious and mature, still palatable for the audience.

Really excited to find this pre-Wetworks horror series by Whilce Portacio. Great art, but Steve Gerber’s story is a little too post-Watchmen ‘I’m a real writer’ for me.

Was looking forward to this, remember it from my first ‘real’ comic store, but can’t say it was good. Love the Pacheco art, but it reads like Ellis was trying to write for Deep Space 9 or Babylon 5.

Daredevil 248-249!
On a Bushwacker kick(Punisher on Sega Genesis!) so I picked up his origin. Good, solid spinner rack DD comic, but oddly Ann Nocenti and Rick Leonardi just don’t work for me. I preferred the Punisher issues.

Batman 477-478!
Childhood Batman comic, absolutely LOVED re-reading this for the first time in 30 years. John Wagner and Cam Kennedy deliver on all fronts, will pick up more issues from this era. Always loved that cover! Perfect spinner rack comic.

Comics of 2024: Brass 1-3!
Was going to be my fav new comic… Except it wasn’t. The ads blew my mind, but only found issue 1, and there was only 1 full drawing of Brass. The rest of it was a guy running from the govt. Teenage Nick was let down.
