Regardless of opinion on "the trans community" everyone knows how Elon feels about this topic. So as a public figure, if in that situation, I personally would never choose to make a post apologizing to the LGBTQ community without contacting
@elonmusk 👇
This is neutral commentary, but I've never met Elon and I'd absolutely expect him to react the way he did, and potentially feel alarmed, hurt, angry specifically due to my impression that he heard the news first on X.
I was raised Republican Christian with somewhat old-fashioned values and I am 47 years old, so culturally it's very different from Gen Z influencers. I've never been a parent but I do have the view that it's ideal to discuss anything related to the child with the other parent first. That could influence the post content, or potentially result in deciding not to make that specific post in that specific way and take some other action.
I perceived this as a major communication breakdown which was harmful for everyone involved. It's nowhere near as simple as "Elon randomly decided to deplatform Ashley" in practice. They had many conflicts which culminated in that outcome.
Similarly, although I have very strong negative feelings about CSAM, my reaction was to publicly discuss the concept of publishing an academic paper on this topic. My goal was to notify both Ashley and Elon that if anyone in academia did decide to publish a paper about the CSAM situation that could turn into a major legal conflict for everyone involved, as well as potentially cascading impacts for any related EU investigations.
I warned Elon that the EU was likely to sue and published an article on xaotica where I offered to assist him in ensuring Grok could not generate CSAM.
However, at the time, I was running a long, complicated UX Engineering and physics related research study about the general topic of Elon Musk and his impact on the United States, along with my attempts to be useful.
Also, I'm currently dating a veteran
of the United States Marines, Christopher Behrend. He's awesome.
My communication style can be insanely blunt like Elon, so regular men don't always handle that well. However, some veterans and law enforcement officers seem to enjoy it. I'm autistic and have been contributing quite a bit to the Trump administration including the military, DOJ forensic analysis of an antifa protestor who threw a rock at some poor woman's face, donations to the FBI and CISA and the cyber security recommendations which Tulsi Gabbard presented to Trump are on the website GitHub under username xaotica currently if you're curious. 😉
