New episode of The Long Aisle is live with Anna Zesbaugh, founder/CEO of Corpse Reviver.
Anna started her first brand, Hooch Booch, after getting furloughed at 24. Over the next six years she built three businesses, eventually closing two of them to bet everything on Corpse Reviver, which is now in stores like Walmart, Whole Foods Market, and Erewhon.
Most founders want to dress up the closures as pivots. Anna doesn't. She sees the connective quality of vulnerability, sharing the wins and losses openly along the way.
We got into so much more, from what it felt like to walk away from her first brand and designing her very first can with her college neighbor in liquor stores around Denver to drawing a line between the people she calls and the people she pays and the note she stuck on her bathroom mirror in 2020 that's still there.
