Interesting question -- how many bars can one go to that are still operating from the Carter admin with the same ownership? Fox and hounds was there but the ownership changed. Not sure about any others.
.@BottomLineDC already celebrated 45 years but their actual 45 year birthday is tomorrow (Tuesday).
$4.50 pours of Four Roses all day and 5 cent draft beers from 4-5p (it was Miller lite earlier this month - in the 80s one hour a week they had 5 cent beer)
I’ve never stayed the night in Downtown DC before a game but managed to find a pretty awesome bar to hang out/eat at where they treat outta towner’s same as locals from my experience.
@BottomLineDC
Highly recommend them !!
Got a question from someone who likes divey bars but is also really into wine (can’t drink the other stuff because of a medical condition). I can’t imagine any dives even have a wine list - but what is the least classy DC bar that has decent wine?
Been to most of these. Solid choices. I’d also throw @MorelandsTavern hat in the ring. Same owners a @BoundaryStoneDC. They do it right and don’t get enough run.
I last saw Darren at @BottomLineDC , celebrating the win over the Bills and, taking pictures with the game ball sent to us from @Bengals . He knew all of Cincinnati. He never met a stranger and was not only a great Bengals fan but an ever greater man. This one hurts. #whodey
@bengaltrailer@BottomLineDC Am sad to hear of Darren’s passing. He was a regular at the DC Bengals bar, the Bottom Line for a season or two. Great guy, loved talking Bengals trash with him. RIP my dude 🤜🏻🧡🐅🧡🤛🏾
