I use deepseek v4 in ccode w/ ultracode. V good, economical, especially relative to frontier costs. Feels like Opus, easy to forget the backend. This was for itops stuff, powershell scripting. So there are harder problems, but I can do stuff with this I cant afford with opus.

How are u using ccode n codex in tandem?

As someone who uses Codex/CCode 6h a day, worth a try. (No payouts yet, but you lose nothing trying for a week or so anyway)

They " still " need to subsidize and it's worth it for them. 1- Most people don't max out their sub. 2- They still need to learn from your usage. (They improve their products CCode/Codex) 3- Some investors care about user growth. 4- They showcase their capabilities, create a need then bump prices.

I used it for one test, in chat as I didn't want to find out what it would cost in ccode. It cost $14 and completed in 20 minutes, and produced the infrastructure as code that I requested. The prompt input was generated by iterating with gemini pro and chatgpt pro extended.

Ccode is.. for the yuan lol not bad it's close to normal openai, couldn't get anthropic to work easily and couldn't be bothered, I prefer GPT for very strict technical stuff, audits etc. But surplusintelligence has gpt 5.5 and 5.4 at insanely comparable rates.. better at times, it's a order book.
