Power prices rose massively when Australia started exporting gas from Queensland and STTM prices went from $2/GJ to $6 /GJ. Old coal plants having unplanned outages (or new in the case of Callide) was the cherry on top.

Bernie , the blackouts we have are transmission & distribution failures . Not caused by generation ( Except for Callide ! ) .
I'm not in the city & I have no problem
I don't even have a flash charger
Just a power point ,400km range
$1.20 per 100 km in the EV or $20 diesel

Yeah Im sure it has nothing to do with their investment in renewing coal/gas fired generation, including bringing Callide C back online. You people are insufferable sometimes. The prices went up due to a failure to maintain coal/gas plants, and they're coming down because the QLD LNP did something about that.

History ? You do have a short memory !
Don't remember Callide ? Off line 3 years .Or Longford Gas , Off line after an explosion for 10 days in 1998 . Or the Yallourn coal mine on fire for 6 weeks or the 6 weeks severely effected by flood that took 2 years to fix ?

Big turbine is callide power station, one a chemical cooling tower & an oil rig. I'm sure it's easy as replacing a panel or two to fix these. Not sure what your point is. No one said panels were indestructible, but you could get back in operation in a fraction of the time & cost.

I lived in the Callide Valley at the time that
Callide B Power Station was built.
I saw how many jobs came with the construction & how the injection of funds improved the community.
Does this woman ever consider that aspect of coal production & power & how many jobs coal mining provides?

No not all RE gear is broken at 10 years, that's another typical lie from Daraj. Panels esp and wind turbines can go 30 years plus. Which is close to the life of coal power, 20 y/o Callide C in Qld blew up in 2021 and it was one of the younger units, supposed to last until 2050.
