some overlay color alts Because i think colorpicking their complex-ish palette every time is gonna make media look bland, like it kind of already does. 2 would be cool if i added doorway/screen light but na

i dont think i fully appreciated gradient maps until just now because i'm trying to keep coloring consistent between panels and if you have a looser style colorpicking becomes an utter nightmare😭

eh, that barely matters, just look at the parts that arent color picked, then. colorpicking isn't necessary sure, but it's also not harmful in any way. you're free to do things how you want, but this is how other ppl choose to do it.

yeahhh i wouldn't recommend the early comics for colorpicking, the colors are super washed out and do demo especially dirty 😭😭 i have a pic of all the mercs' skintones directly from their model textures but i'd have to go find it

really cute but demo is absolutely not the right color 🥹 out of curiosity were you colorpicking from the early comics? cause those aren't accurate to his model at all

idk how good of a tip it is, but for my art i like to overlay some colorful things after laying down the basic colors, colorpicking a few of the new colors and then just add them to my shading/rendering,,,,,, does this make sense?

i saw this pic earlier, and you have to see it too. There is no yellow in this image. Our brains are just making it up. the pic only has blue stripes, black stripes, purple, gray, light blue and white. and the part that looks yellow is actually just white One of the most fascinating things about neuroscience is that your brain doesn't really see the world, it interprets it. in this case, our visual system uses the surrounding colors and patterns to create the perception of yellow, even tho there's actually no yellow in the image. this phenomenon is called "neon color spreading" I love illusions like these..even after colorpicking and seeing there's no yellow for myself, I still have a hard time believing it lol

I tested it by colorpicking from u in the 2nd image and putting the colors on the flag (Left is colorpicked, right flag is the real one)
