For more than 2 years, I spent around 3 hours every day commuting to the Samsung office, leaving home at 7am and getting back around 6:30pm. Then came the gym. Dinner. And before I knew it, it was already 9 PM.
The only time I had left for interview prep was 2 hours at the end of the day, when I was already tired from work, commuting, and training.
Nobody asked me to go to the gym. Nobody asked me to solve a LC Hard after 9 PM. Nobody asked me to finish Alex Xu's System Design book.
Those were all choices I made. The routine was intense, but it was possible.
A lot of people are waiting for the perfect time, the perfect schedule, or the perfect opportunity. In my experience, nobody hands you those things. You create them with whatever time and energy you have.
